Gustafsson Sjögren Stockholm Watch
One of their loveliest creations, the Stockholm is the newest limited edition model from Swedish watch makers Gustafsson & Sjögren (GoS). It will be limited to just five pieces total. Four pieces will have rich mother-of-pearl dials and one model will have a blue lapis lazuli dial – each set in a 42mm wide steel case.
Each detail of Omega’s Hour Vision Co-Axial Skeleton Platinum Limited Edition proclaims that this is a timepiece created by a watchmaker working at horology’s cutting edge.
Start with the 41 mm outer case. It is crafted from 950 platinum and it has a 360° transparent sapphire casebody set inside it, allowing unobstructed views of both sides of the exclusive Omega Co-Axial calibre 8403 which drives this extraordinary watch. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, the watch is delivered with a four-year warranty.

To celebrate its 220th Anniversary this year, Swiss watch brand Girard-Perregaux unveils a new white gold chronograph with a chic blue dial as part of its Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection. The classic watch is designed to characterize “the technical and stylistic expertise of a brand forever in pursuit of perfection.” The collection pays homage to the fact that in 1966 Girard-Perregaux received the Centenary Prize from the Neuchâtel Observatory in recognition of its research in the field of precision.

The McGonigle brothers are Irish independent high-end luxury watch makers, and their new watch is the Tuscar. The Tuscar watch is available in red gold as a very limited edition set, they claim only 20 pieces will be made.

Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Black Sea Watch
The newest addition Maxi Marine Diver collection watches for 2011 is the Black Sea. The entire watch is done in black tones save for the bold red accents on the dial. The hands and hour markers make a hip statement against the black background.
The watch is a rugged all weather sports diving timekeeper with a self-winding movement and a 42-hour reserve power indicator. Power reserve indicator is an extremely handy option for an automatic mechanical watch, since it reminds the wearer that the wrists need to be in a motion most of the day to ensure perfect accuracy. Provided with an unidirectional rotating bezel and a screwed crown, its case, individually numbered, is water-resistant to 200 meters.

To mark the 220th anniversary of the Brand, Girard-Perregaux‘s Haute Horlogerie collection will be enhanced by a model inspired by its history and this majestic complication: the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Tourbillon with gold Bridge, expressing the essence of watchmaking tradition, available in an edition of 50 individually numbered pieces.
Ikepod Hourglass – HGSS80 and HGS80
The renowned Australian designer Marc Newson has designed the Hourglass for Ikepod. The Ikepod Hourglass is a luxurious 60-minute timer hand blown from one single piece of borosilicate glass filled with tiny nanoballs, each coated in different material other then sand. To be more specific, each hourglass contains 8 million nanoballs.
When the glass is turned from one side to the other, the nanoballs fall to the ground and create total chaos in the bottom chamber of the hourglass. These balls jump and fly around in a frenzied way, but within the most serene of Newson designs, you hardly notice.
To mark the 2011 Basel Fair Hublot is presenting a world first, with a minute repeater watch featuring two Cathedral type gongs, a tourbillon and column wheel chronograph, with carbon fiber bridges, in a case made from carbon fiber. This is a perfect illustration of “Fusion” between great watchmaking tradition and the technology of the future.
It is a timepiece with a sophisticated mechanism, featuring three major Haute Horlogerie complications particularly prized by connoisseurs and collectors, but revisited in a resolutely contemporary spirit: The main particularity lies in the fact that the three complications are visible from the dial side.
Besides the carbon fibre, the case is also fashioned with materials such as titanium and rubber, which is a perfect illustration of the Art of Fusion key to Hublot.
